Best PvE Prot Elite?
Well since Prot line has such diverse skills I can never decide between LS, Zealous, UA, PnH, Boon, Sins Promise, or even spell breaker sometimes.
My general bar is
[Elite][Aegis][PS][SoA][Selfless/Energy Management][Seed of Life] And two optionals depending on area. RoF/SBo/res/Whatever
So, what do you use?

For PvE i like SoD because its 100% mantainable,75% block plus 30~armor,making any character a tank without the need of other prots.
I never monk on pve,but thats my fav prot elite for heroes, and highly effective imo

I dunno about you, but ZB makes me go wtf o_O. I don't understand why the prot line, which deals in damage prevention, would have a red bar only skill. I think ZB makes prot bars...not prot anymore lol. Almost the same as putting points in healing and bringing WoH.
I prefer shield of deflection personally.
Shield of regen is alright if you can manage the energy.
Between those elites though, I guess I would go with life sheath?

Between the ones you listed, ZB in a one-monk team (4 or 6 man areas), Life Sheath in a 8-man setup. Personally my PvE prot elite is Energy Drain
RoF
Guardian
Prot Spirit
Shield of Absorption
Draw Conditions
Inspired Hex
Energy Drain (e)
Divine Boon

Things are never as simple as "The best pve prot elite", as it really depends what area you are doing, and what kind of group you are in. ZB isn't really prot, and if you have other healers in your group you will often overlap heals thus not getting the 7 energy back. If you are in a small group vanquishing an area with small party sizes, then for one monk teams it could be a good elite. Aura of Faith is one of my favs for general use, it is a heal and a prot in one, and stacks amazingly with seeds of life, also a great skill for catching a red bar right at the last second. Sheild of deflection is great, but longer recharge with high energy pushes me away from using it. In hex heavy areas divert hexes is a very powerful skill. Glyph of renewal can be good if you want to do a prot spamming build using the GoR + Divine Spirit idea. When it comes down to it its all personal preference tho.

Yes ZB is nice for 4 man areas but the moment you have more than 1 Monk you mess up the heals, specially if the other Monk is running WoH.
I've been using SoD alot recently on my own Monk but on heroes i tend to just use PnH.

In sub8 man area's, Zb, but as stated, when you get another monk along it can cause issues and be a massive energy waste.
But looking at your bar, personally id take AP! (if you know your team is gonna be able to score kills more than once every 20 seconds!) but that also cuts into your att points!
An almost perma aegis, cheap ass prot spirits! many seeds, and shields. its win in my book.
Divert hex, restore condition and Pnh can all work well if the area calls for them.

General purpose: Life Barrier, Life Sheath, Zealous Benediction (Player only), Unyielding Aura
Condition Heavy: Restore Condition, Life Sheath
Hex Heavy: Peace and Harmony (EotN Mandragor, I'm looking at you), Divert Hexes
Energy management: Assassin's Promise, Boon Signet (underrated!),

they're all pretty bad...but if i did run a prot elite, it'd prolly be [life sheath]. otherwise stick with a healing/divine favour or even an other attrib line elite.

For use on human monk:
When looking at Prot only skills I either use LS or Divert Hexes depending on area and team.
However, I mainly run hybrid bars.
This leaves more place for either WoH or PnH again depending on area and the skills of other healers.
